Representatives of twenty-three international agencies will participate from this Sunday until Wednesday 26 in the Fam Trip of the second edition of the Ibiza MICE Summit, which has been presented at the Hotel TRS in Sant Antoni.
The IBIZA MICE SUMMIT was born to make the island a benchmark for congress tourism
A #Fam Trip, or familiarization trip, allows these tourist agencies to live the experience of a destination in first person. And, according to Ana Sánchez Vigón, manager of the Ibiza Convention Bureau and one of the organizers of Ibiza MICE Summit®, they invite “European event agencies, potential clients for the destination, to discover what Ibiza offers for business tourism”. “We are going to sell them the destination so that they can offer it to their customers and bring business to the island and to all its companies,” he adds.

Fina Riera Torres, director of the Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza and organizer with Sánchez of this Ibiza MICE Summit®, explained that for this edition they have had “the most important associations within the tourism sector to maintain quality and also this year we will close with a very attractive motivational conference
For his part, Raimond Torrents, head of Event Management Institute and the event agency Torrents & Friends, will be in charge of opening the conferences. After him, there will be a round table with the theme ‘Congress Palaces of Ibiza: recovery and resilience’, which will feature speakers of the stature of Christoph Tessmar, president of the ICCA Iberian Chapter, Marta Gonzalez Acin, responsible for the area of congresses and events of the Auditorium Palacio de Congresos de Girona, Iker Goikoetxea Mendoza, managing director of Centro Kursaal S.A., management company of the Kursaal Conference Center and Auditorium and president of APCE, Association of Palaces and Congresses of Spain, and Gonzalo Súnico, managing director of the Palacio de Congresos Lienzo Norte de Ávila.
There will be three specialists who will lead this exhibition. First, Adam D.L Munday, director of operations of Ibiza Hotels Melia; Borja Martinez Junquera, director of Meetings & Events Europe of Palladium Hotel Group, and Marisa Martin, sales director of Six Senses Ibiza.
Alda D. Egurrola-Wienke and Cristina Corral will talk about the importance of a figure like the Events Manager and will close the morning of presentations the former basketball player Sergi Grimau – HR – SALES – PEOPLE, focused on strategic consulting and the world of motivation, leadership and communication skills.
Finally, in this second edition it becomes part of the organization of the Ibiza Travel event, with the five municipalities of the island as collaborators.
